expressing gratitude

Today i may actually paste my dissertation into this blog post... Okay no but i want to talk about some things that my dissertation is based on.

I've always had such a passion for spiritualism, as i was discovering what that word meant i was also discovering blogging, fashion and photography so you can see what my key interests are in my life.
Not going to lie, an ex of mine handed me a book called 'The Power of Now' and it's changed my entire life ever since. Obviously not knowing pretty much anything about spiritualism and then reading that book it was SUCH a shock to my system that i didn't realise what any of this was yet. I literally felt like I learnt more about myself in the days reading that book than I had in my entire life up until then.

After reading it i found out that i had an intense interest in spiritualism, and since then I've been researching into it, reading about it, meditating, telling people about it...("heres this book..") I'm sure if you're into this you can relate right?

Anyway so I just wanted to state a few things we should be grateful for as gratitude is one of the main objections in spiritualism!

1. Be grateful for all your senses.

2. Be grateful for the people around you.

3. Be grateful for the roof over your head.

4. Be grateful for food.

5. Be grateful for your health.

So yeah all very simple things but we often forget such simplicities of life. Once you remember all these things and say them to yourself everyday you can then help others.
I forget these things too, but i always make sure I'm grateful for something each day even if it's the smallest thing, just remember that gratitude betters you and your well-being and also others around you, its never a selfish thing.

Working on yourself and creating that space in your head actually makes the world better.
Being more mindful doesn't just make your life better.

"It is through gratitude for the present moment that the spiritual dimension of life opens up."
- Eckhart Tolle

Iceland in Autumn

Hey everyone!

So about a week ago I was travelling around the beautiful country that is Iceland. I thought i'd quickly share some photos and tell you what i got up to while i was there. We stayed in a small town called GrindavĂk which is where the Blue Lagoon is located and we stayed in a hotel called Geo hotel and it was about a 10 minute drive from the Blue Lagoon. I definitely recommend staying in the Geo hotel, if you mainly just want to visit the lagoon!
I was mostly excited to bath in the lagoon and as you can see it's absolutely stunning! Looks a million times better in person though, that water is breathtaking! The baths are so relaxing as they heat them up its basically a massive hot tub and then as the air is freezing it makes it feel even better!
As it's autumn Iceland is quite cold right now so if you're planning to go make sure you pack the right clothes, as I didn't haha! You need loads of jumpers.

Other than going to the lagoon we walked around the town and basically just relaxed in the hotel. We also was waiting to see the Northern Lights but sadly didn't. I definitely plan to go back soon, its such a relaxing place to be if you just wanna get away for a bit.

Thanks for reading!

blogger truths ft. Boohoo

Dress - Boohoo | Boots - Public Desire

Hey people!

So today I thought id talk about the truths about being a blogger, I’m going to be brutalllyyyyy honest here as its my blog why not?

So theres many many good points to talk about within blogging so I’m only going to talk about a few because theres SO many things I could say haha and there is a few things that annoy me about blogging I’m not going to lie, but saying this the good still weighs out the bad 100%.

Well firstly we get free shit, yeah we do I’m sure you know by now and if you’re a blogger you know its a perk of the job, could be the best perk?
People always ask me how do you have post everyday or how you get sent so many things and well i don’t compared to bigger bloggers.
Sometimes we get stuff we’ll blog about as a collab(unpaid) and sometimes its for an ad(paid) and sometimes 'just because’!
A collab and an ad we have to blog and speak about but i don’t accept them unless i think my readers and i will enjoy the product.
Then sometimes we receive stuff just because and we don’t need to post about it.
Tbh I’m still learning about these perks of the job I’m not exactly the big blogger atm so.

Something that isn’t great about blogging is well, the emails from random brands that just don’t know how to speak to a blogger or anyone haha!
As in they list things you HAVE to do with no freedom or simply forget who they’re trying to contact by putting '#name’ instead of my actual name! haha
Or ones that offer you about $1 for a blog post which is like pennys here?!
Some brands really do just like to take advantage of smaller bloggers its true!
Also for me as a smaller blogger i think most brands don’t offer any budget when you ask. Pretty much every time i’ve asked through email I’ve had no reply!

So yeah some of these things really do annoy me but all in all i love blogging and id be doing it NO matter what!

If you enjoyed this post and want to maybe hear more do let me know!

This post featured Boohoo's dress of the month!

favourite falsies ft falseeyelashes.co.uk

Hey everyone!

So todays post is going to be all about eyelashes I’ve grown such an obsession with them throughout the years and so i wanted to just talk about which are my absolute favourites and what styles i think are the best!

Firstly thank you to Welovelashes for sending me over some stunning lashes, they have such a wide range of all the best brands of lashes! Actually think they have pretty much every brand?! That i know of!
Do check them out if you ever can’t find your favourite pair of lashes on the direct site falseeyelashes.co.uk will probably stock them!

So i like my lashes to be bold and dramatic! and also be the kind you can wear in the day time so i go for the lashes with gaps in them, also i enjoy this shape as it shows the rest of your eye makeup sometimes with gathered lashes you can’t even see your liner and can almost make your eyes look smaller. As i have big eyes(well I’ve been told) id rather keep them that sort of size!
Next WISPIES I have always loved a good wispy lash like the Ardell Demi Wispies they have always been a favourite of mine.

So my absolute FAVOURITES right now that i cannot get enough of are the Demure lashes in ‘Aubrey’ I have to shout out to Demure here as they’re absolute BABES for making the BEST lashes I’ve ever ever tried. IF YOU HAVENT TRIED THESE WHAT ARE YOU DOING. They’re such a good price for the best as well. When I got my first ever pair i literally wore them out as much as possible. They always sell out btw BUT falseeyelashes.co.uk usually stocks them if they’re not on the Demure site so go get them please - it’ll change your life and this aint even an ad haha.

Hope you enjoyed this post and if you’re ever too scared to try them out please don’t be, only because I’ve heard a few girls saying this to me, if you do your research you won’t damage your actual lashes so go ahead and try em!
